The term was first used in an ICQ communication with Eran Reshef, CEO of Blue Security during the DDoS attack on the Blue Frog operation. The self styled Pharmamaster claimed responsibility for the attack.

Spamhaus suggests that it is a nickname for either Leo Kuvayev or Alex Polyakov.
